Hello! Sawubona! I am John Michael Koffi. Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, I live in the Kingdom of Swaziland. I am currently doing my second year of International Baccalaureate at United World College Robert Bosch college in Freiburg, Germany. I love music and nature. The two make me feel at peace with myself, and with the world. I play guitar and piano, and I write my own songs. I write poetry and short stories too, and I am currently working on a novel. 'Why sing and write?' you might ask yourself! Well, I consider myself a youth activist. I want to influence the youth to positively impact societies. We, the young people, are lively and vivacious. We have ideas and ideals. We therefore have to strive for a better world for our ageing parents’ generation, ourselves, and our offsprings. I’ve initiated a Youth Club in a refugee camp where we address learning from each other to tackle difficulties. I’m working on few other projects as well. For the short term, a music album and a novel; and for the long term a youth Centre project in different countries in Africa. We have a lot of battles to win in our era; from political instabilities in Africa, Middle East, and other parts of the world and the fight against climate change, to equality and drug and substance abuse. TeenzTalk is a great platform for us to learn from each other: our passions, our growth, and what affects us, like stress and anxiety. By educating and inspiring each other, we can healthily move on to tackling those battles. Let’s be the change we want to see; all it takes is just time! Love and Repect.
