What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
If you are attending the conference with friends or classmates, we encourage carpooling. Free parking is available at the venue. We also have transportation scholarships available on a first-come first-serve basis. If the cost of transportation is a barrier to your attendance, email us: teenwellnessconf18@gmail.com
What can I bring into the event?
You and your awesomeness! Everything that you need will be provided.
What is the schedule of the event?
10-10:30AM Attendees arrive, get settled, network.
10:30-11:20AM Inspiring youth speakers will share their stories & experiences.
11:30AM-12:30PM Morning breakout session.
12:40-1:20PM Lunch! Resource tables exploration.
1:30-2:30PM Afternoon breakout session.
2:40-3:10PM Student-led panel discussions.
3:15-4PM Activation piece all together.
Will I be able to choose my breakout session preferences?
Yes! We will be emailing you after you register to collect your breakout session preferences. Therefore, please include (in registration) an email that you will be checking.
What topics will be covered in the breakout sessions?
You will be able to choose exactly which sessions you want to attend. The general themes include:
–Yoga, Mindfulness, & Creative Expression
–Peer Support: How to Maintain Healthy Relationships
–Breaking Down Media Portrayals of Mental Illness
–Digital/Social Media & Mental Health
–Identity & Acceptance
–Advocacy, Policy, & Youth Voice
